Manic Street Preachers: Take 1
FEATURING JAMES DEAN BRADFIELD
UPLOADED 02 September 2013
It was an exciting day recently, when I was able to chat with a certain Mr James Dean Bradfield of the Manic Street Preachers ahead of the release of the new album, "Rewind the Film". JDB was doing a series of interviews throughout the day, and me and my colleague Darren Milby were given a 15 minute slot. After a seven minute delay due to a technical problem, we were worried that we only had a further 8 minutes to rattle through everything we wanted to cover. Ever the gentleman though, James spoke to us for 20 minutes, over-running his next interview by 15 minutes. But he certainly enjoyed the chat, which is probably why we didn't get a "ok guys, time's up" message in our ears from his producer. As it was only a short time slot, there was so much more we could have talked about. Hopefully we may be able to do that in the future. After the interview, we got straight to work on a special 30 minute feature including the interview in full, interspersed with music from the Manics themselves. This is the end result. Hope you enjoy it! Follow the show on Twitter @STYHpodcast :D Check out the website at www.STYHpodcast.com / www.STYHpodcast.com/mobile and find us in the iTunes podcast store. Tell your friends. Lots of friends ;) Rewind the Film is the eleventh studio album by Manic Street Preachers, and is scheduled to be released on the 16th of September 2013. We'd like to thank Gary Hobson at Sony Music, Darren Milby and Phil Rogers at The Bay, and of course, James Dean Bradfield for helping to make this interview and special edition podcast possible. Not forgetting Nicky Wire, Sean Moore, and of course... Richey.
